We used it the first time last night, it was just two of us and more than enough room to fit a few more people if needed.. we ended up having a heavy rainstorm and the tent was awesome, it did not leak at all, this was on sale and definitely a good investment. Very impressed all around with the ventilation, the durability, the easy setup. Set up was quick

We have this one and the dark technology one. This one is nice becuase it does let light in so you can see better in the tent. I am 6’-1” and can stand easily in the tent . I love the extra head room. It is a quick setup that my wife and I complete in 10 minutes or less. The fooor space is large as well. Plenty of room.

I waited until after taking this thing for a spin before coming back to leave a review. I can honestly say it took me and my kids less than 20 minutes to set up, first time out and without reading a single direction. I was super impressed.
The inside is spacious- I love a tall ceiling in a tent- but I would never try to fit 8 people in there. I’d do 4-5 people as a max, considering you’ll likely want room for belongings.
My only complaint is that I didn’t like the tent stakes it came with. But that’s not specific to this tent. Every tent I’ve ever owned has come with those cheapie stakes. I always end up buying and using more durable ones that can handle a little pounding from a rubber mallet.

All parts were there. Need two people to set up. Only issue I have is that for such a large tent thought would have more pegs for bottom. Only 4 pegs at corners. Thought with such a large tent would of had 4 more pegs at base.

It is definitely not an 8 person tent, 2 or 3 at the most and as I said not for cooler weather, only good for summer. Takes two people about 20 minutes to set up.

Got this tent to replace our 8 yr old Coleman 10ft Sundome tent, which met it’s demise in a 35mph windstorm. Two camping trips and we absolutely love this tent; just minutes to set up, sturdy, and lots of room. There is more headroom while standing upright than the Sundome, due to the arch top design. Only minor complaint is the door zippers can sometimes be a bit vexatious where the zipper skirts (light green nylon covers) around the door separate around the 4 o’clock spot. Last camping trip saw quite a bit of heavy rain with some winds; inside stayed completely dry.

Fits my queen air mattress and has lots of room to keep all our other belongings.
Set up was easy but would be much easier with a 2nd person helping.
My first time setting it up took me about 30 minutes.
Take down and packing was very fast and the carry bag expands so you can shove everything in.
I also like how the poles are pre attached so there is no guess work involved.
I bought water proofing spray which I used as most tents and very water proof out of the box so I cannot speak about the quality of factory waterproofing. We did have rain and the waterproofing I did worked well.

We bought two of these tents a couple years ago, an 8-person and a 4-person. I generally like the design, features, and ease of setup. We’ve camped with these tents a few times and have stayed dry through some rain showers. That said, we’ve been really disappointed with the quality. I’ve been a fan of Coleman tents my whole life and was really surprised with these. The first issue on both tents is that the bottom of the front of the tent bows upward when the corners are pulled taught instead of making a straight line across. I’m not sure if the tent poles are too long, or if the tents weren’t sewn in the proper dimensions. The second issue is that the rain fly doesn’t line up properly on the large tent. It sits about 2 inches off-center to the rear, and no amount of adjusting can bring it forward. The result is that the velcro loops can’t be fastened to the poles and the pole that bows the rainfly out over the door doesn’t fit properly. On the small tent, the rainfly pole goes right through the grommet on the tent, so it can’t be used at all. As others have mentioned, the door zipper catches at the same spot every time. All-in-all, it would be a great tent if it were manufactured right. We just got tired of the problems and will avoid Coleman when we purchase replacements. It’s on me that I waited too long to use them, so they couldn’t be returned once I discovered all the problems.

This tent is HUGE,..mind you I got it for 2 people but so perfect, with tons of extra room for our belongings. We are each 5’5 and the tent has tons of head room above for standing comfortably. It IS waterproof…we learned this on day one, but we also sprayed the tent before hand. Honestly. I could not have bought a better tent…and thank God because I was worried I’d hate camping but this is the best summer yet with 5 trips behind me and 3 coming up. It assembles great and quickly…took us more like 30 minutes because we were newbies and to roll up when done, fits great into the expandable bag. Thanks Coleman!

I had one outing with this tent and it was completely destroyed by the wind. The design seems to be intended to create a breeze inside the tent by allowing wind to pass under the fly sheet (which doesn’t reach the ground) The result is that it acts like a parachute – first night out and the tent was destroyed – broken poles – bent metal. Total disaster. It will probably be fine on a warn still windless night, but it is not made for the UK

I bought this tent so my teens could use our older tent of the same name & we adults could have the darker (hoping more black out) It wasn’t really that darkening, but I suppose it was a bit more shaded. This tent was made with plastic loops & nylon vs metal…not sure of the longevity of those. The footprint took some getting used to as it is longer side to side than front to back….we like our feet facing the opening, so that made less room at the head/foot area. But not a big con. There are no windows except the door, but if you tether the rain fly tauntly, you can peek through the screened top/sides some. Another thing that I wanted to mention is the bottom of the tent where it zips to the door opening is pretty tall (tub floor is a great defining word!) … probably better protection if it were to rain… but I kept tripping on the darn thing every time I would go in & out of the tent. It was a good 5-6″ tall. This tent does have great head room…& not just in the center of the tent. That is the main reason we like this tent.
