I bought this tent for a family camping trip to Acadia this past Columbus Day weekend. I was looking for a “true” 4 person tent for my family of 4. We wanted something that wasn’t large and lofty like our 8 man cabin-style summer tent. We also weren’t looking to spend $600+ on a 4 season insulated tent when we have no intentions of ever camping in the snow. The plan was to just use our sleeping pads and bags, lots of blankets, and huddle for warmth lol
The low ceiling in this traditional dome-style tent held in our body heat nicely. The rain fly with double vestibule was great for blocking the wind coming off of the ocean, and keeping our packs and shoes dry. Temps at night were 30s-40s and we did pretty well in this 3 season tent considering!
Structurally, it feels high quality. I assume with the fly off, it’ll vent nicely for summer camping. Overall, we’re very happy with the purchase and can’t wait to take it on more adventures with the kiddos!

Excellent tent. Poles are aluminum and very sturdy. Zippers are heavy duty and worked smoothly. Used the tent for the first time in hail and heavy rain. Without treatment the tent kept me completely dry. There is enough space inside for three grown people. The outside flap had enough space to keep my shoes. I live in WY where we have high winds. Using the extra tie downs (included), the tent is very sturdy. It is a good all season tent, best for fall/spring. Once I decided to follow the directions to set it up, it was very easy and quick to setup on my own.
Downside: As with most tents, do not use the stakes that come with it (They are of poor quality). You will need to buy 8 stakes for normal weather with 4 more in high wind areas for a total of 12. You will also need two extra short ropes to tie down the fly properly. There are loops on the fly for them but for some reason the manufacture does not provide them and if you want to stay dry you will need them. And the installation directions does not mention their use but it is obvious where they are needed.

Great size for my son for Boy Scouts. Will sleep two with lots of room for their gear and could get a third in there if need be. Great that each boy has his own door, and that you can exit sideways instead of feet first or head first like his old tent. Outfitter model has sturdy floor and zippers which will take rough use by the boys his age. I’d give it 5 stars except that, like too many camping items, it comes with a storage bag that is way too small. Yes it fit just fine from the factory folded perfectly in a nice tight roll, but I had to buy a duffle bag to store it in.. I don’t understand why they won’t just make the storage bag a little bigger? Picture I included is of fully stuffed sack and the rain fly which can’t go in…and yes I tried rolling it with the tent, but then nothing fits in sack.

Loved how easy it was to set up and the room we had for two people and all our gear. We camped in southeast Alaska where it can rain buckets but this trip we had exceptional weather and didn’t get to test the tent out for rain. I have no doubt that the tent will do well in wet conditions because of the material and how well built this tent is. Well thought out tent, rainfly is ample and has nice tie downs.

We purchased ours almost a year ago. Easy to set up, and built tough. We have camped in the fall, summer and spring with no issues using appropriate sleeping systems. We have been rained on 3 times and not a drop inside the tent. One night camping on the beach a thunderstorm rolled up and we had 35 mph gusts. This thing held firm with no issues. Not a drop of water inside. Full disclosure I did buy anchor style sand stakes for that trip. I would reccomend replacing the stakes with tri shape for everyday use. We have both. It is a bit heavy at 10 lbs but i expected that being an outfitter style tent. We split the carry weight between us to help. Had no issues hiking 4 miles in sand through bear island. Zippers have held up, no tears, no broken poles, never a leak. Love the 2 exit points and vestibules. Honestly for the price this is a fantastic tent. Only thing i would say is I think this is barely a 4 person tent. we have had 2 adults. One adult 5’6 165lbs, one adult 5’3″ 140lbs, 1 child 5’2″ 120lbs and 1 child 5’0″ 70lbs. Sleep comfortable in the tent but the ones of us on the far sides were up against the tent wall. I know we are a smaller family but i feel to really be comfortable this is more like 3 person tent. Excellent deal for the price. Would buy again but i cant see this tent failing for a very long time. Just replace your tent stakes with a better aftermarket option.

We’re happy with our tent so far. We did a mock setup in the living room tonight since we won’t be actually using the tent for camping for a few weeks. Impressed with the size of the zippers and construction. Setup was easy. Glad we spent the extra money on this tent since we didn’t want the side vents on the less costly version. This tent is replacing a cheap Co***an three person tent we’ve used for 20+ years until the zippers finally failed. Happy to have the extra room and a quality tent.
We measured the inside dimensions of the tent at 80″ W, 92″ L, and 52″ H. We’ve attached a photo of the stakes and guy ropes included with the tent. Ten stakes total, not sure about the length of the ropes. We’ll report back and possibly add another star once we’ve actually used the tent.
07/05/19 Update: We finally used the tent for 3 days of camping today. No issues and happy with the purchase.
