Sewed in and trimmed to fit. I used it for a week and had no issues. I used 6in stove pipe and the material around the pipe stayed warm to the touch not hot at all. I cut to fit the inside square on the material that’s on the backside.

I have a carport in my back yard and decided install a little wood burning stove to make it a winter hang out … portable car ports don’t come with chimneys so I installed this bad boy. Sewed it on myself. Use a big needle like 5″ and thick string. Love that it closes so I don’t feel like I actually cut a hole in my carport!!! Highly recommend.

No complaints, only thing I wish was if there was extra material around the Velcro to sew around
