It rained about 1/2 inch during my initial test. I posted two pictures one of the rain fly where you can see a wet spot on the fly and one of the inside of the tent where you can see the outline of where it leaks then drips on the inside of the tent. I really wanted to love this tent. The set up and stake out points are amazing was the best tent I have owned until I found out it leaks. Unfortunately I will have to return and find something else.

Easy setup! The 4 person cross canyon packs just as small as my old 2 person Eureka and not much heavier. 100% happy with the purchase so far.

really wanted to like this tent, but its pretty bad. got some rain the very first night and the tent leaked. water seeped through the seams and dripped inside. woke up to a soggy sleeping bag and multiple puddles inside the tent. had to cover the tent with a tarp to keep dry. couldn’t believe it. hate the door. it’s not very user friendly. the way it opens is a bad design and the zipper gets easily stuck. also, the material is really light weight and not very durable. after a few trips, the tent already has multiple holes in it. no idea how the got there since i am really careful with my gear. won’t even take it out anymore.

This is the second Klymit cross canyon then I’ve had. The first one was the two person. I really liked it and abused it nonstop for half a year (I’m a full-time nomadic tent camper.)
Here it is almost a year and 5 tents later and I’ve secured a second cross canyon. As a solo camper a 4 person tent is a great size for comfort with furnishings. I have a large club chair, a cot, two folding tables and plenty of room for additional gear.
I’m 5’4” tall and the tent was easy for me to put up and i can stand upright inside of the tent.
The materials used to make this tent seems a bit cheaper than the 2 person I have. For a sub $200 tent that’s a bit of an expected drawback. I am tempted to order one from klymit direct to see if there is a difference in material quality.
Overall I’m satisfied with the tent so far. I expect it to last about 5 months with daily usage.

Great tent with a few flaws. The vestibule requires 3 steaks to pull tight and the side you want opened needs to have the steak removed to secure opened and if you want it closed tightly you have to re steak. Just an extra step that seems to be a flaw. It also closes really tight to the top I wish it was a little more opened for the size. This is not a deal breaker. The screen door is huge and opens and closes nicely but the points to secure it open are up under the fly and really a pain to get to. This is probably a little more annoying but I just ended up not securing it. Other than that nice tent for the price on sale. I’d at least consider other options for the full price. I will say the sidewalls are pretty steep and the tent is very open for such a compact design that seem to be unique to this tent.

The first two pictures are of the two separate door zippers. One had a hole and the other door zipper was not totally stitched leaving an open gap. I sent this tent back and received a replacement tent. Easy return and prompt replacement.
The second and third pictures are from the replacement tent. The stitching on the tent body had a large section were it looked like the threads ran out. Very large area had “off” stitching. I saw this as a possible weakness in the tent. Also, one of the clips that attach the rainfly to the tent body was on the underside of the tent strap. I had to twist it to get it clipped in and then it would not hold tight.
I sent the second tent back for a refund. They charged me $37.99 for a re-stocking fee! Charged me for a defective tent times two! Re-stock?? I hope no one gets these defective tents.
Do not buy!
