I read the reviews about bent poles and gave this a try hoping it wouldn’t happen to me, but i was wrong. I set it up at home once to inspect it and everything looked great, went camping for the first time with it last weekend and one of the main poles bent when i set it up. Im not sure what the problem is, but it damaged two sections of the poles. I have set up every style of tent i am aware of over the years, literally 100s of times and never had this experience. I believe the aluminum poles are weak for this tent. I have tried to contact marmot but was told they were having technical difficulties, try again later. I will update this review after I’ve had s chance to speak with their warranty department.

I used it twice and loved it both times. Plenty of ventilation and rainproof if you remember to close all the windows.

This tent is perfect for me. I use a twin air mattress and it still gives a pretty good amount room leftover. I love the large door and the full screen front of the tent. Like the idea of the screening at the top of the tent, however, I have not used the tent without the fly on. At least I can keep the front of the tent open with the rainfly pulled back. Great amount of pockets (4 small pockets). Good brand and I am very pleased with my purchase. I bought the footprint as well and I’m super glad I did. The color was a little different than it looked in pictures. I thought part of the tent was purplish in color for part of the tent, but really looks brown and orange. It did not bother me enough to want to return it because of what I perceived was a color difference. It does have a hook at the top of tent for hanging a fan or lantern etc. Super happy with my Marmot tent!!

I got this tent for Christmas so I decided to go camping in the outer banks in North Carolina. 2nd night we experienced 35+ mph winds for at least 5 hours non stop in a wide open area and the tent stood strong. I did however purchase 12″ tent spikes separately instead of using the ones that came with the tent. I would recommend doing this.. I was actually very impressed. Would recommend.

We bought this to take my 5 year old on short backpacking trips. It’s not really a backpacking tent, but it’s not horribly heavy, and has plenty of room for the three of us and my big dog. We tend to do a lot of our camping on the shoulder seasons, though, and this did not perform well in the rain. The vestibule slants over a wall of screen, so it’s impossible to get in and out of the tent without letting in all the rain, and the fly drips into the tent to add even more water. It also came with guy lines that are needed for the rain fly, but it didn’t come with enough stakes to use those guy lines. We were fine, but I definitely woke up to a small puddle in the tent in the morning. I’m hoping we can find a way to make it work with more stakes, and possibly adding a tarp, but overall, this seems to be a summer tent. It will be great for beautiful weather, but that’s not when we do most of our camping and backpacking.

I have always had good luck with Marmot gear. This tent is no exception. Only issue with this tent is not enough lines or stakes. Not hard to fix. It comes with 5 stakes, 4 lines. Really needs 12 stakes and extra lines to totally secure everything if you are in really bad weather.
