The instructions are a joke. As mentioned the longer poles are for the canopy. Parts list is wrong on that. Wanted for a wind break fire reflector, not sure it will work. Will it stand rain or snow? It is heavy construction.

I’ve never seen or used a tent structure like this before. It can be configured to provide additional storage, weather protection, or a covered place for relaxing. It’s unique and cool, and it works great at home or on vacation such as camping. However, for it to function well, it must be put up correctly and elevated above the ground.
This tent’s sturdy, thick, waterproof design will come in handy in the event of rain or other severe weather. The first time around, setting everything up took a little while and was challenging, but the second time around was a lot simpler after reading the instructions, practicing, and grasping it all. I can’t wait to use this on our next family camping trip. It is reasonably priced, works effectively, and the color blends perfectly with the surroundings of the outdoors.

Outer Tent (sold separately, stand alone product, inner not included).
This outer tent which is sold as a seperate item. You could use this without a mesh inner if you have some other mesh inner you could rig it up easily as there are plenty of loops and toggles and hooks everywhere inside this tent. And of course if it is not bug season you don’t need one at all. You do not have to buy this brand’s inner mesh tent to go with this outer tent.
Note: On some of my photos they show the mesh inner, that is not included with the outer tent, I reviewed that separately.
I read and followed the instructions when setting up this outer tent and got frustrated that it only had a two feet wide base. The instructions were incorrect. It shows that you set up the tent with what they call side poles. They then show a picture showing the side poles as the longer of the two types of poles. The instructions have it backwards, the side poles are the shorter of the two sets of poles.
After that initial difficulty the tent went up fairly easily, be careful again, there are two diferent types of guy lines, use the ones with a slider at each end on the side poles when setting up the main tent, I made a loop to go in the middle of these guys to go over the end of the short side poles where they came through the grommet.
This tent has countless set up possibilities, you can open the full length at either side and use the longer of the two poles to hold up a side with the one toggle guy lines to keep the pole taut. You can have the ends down, or up or you could open diferent zippers on the ends to find extra material (gussets) so you can now attach the closed ends with the extra material to the open tarp section. The tent has loops and grommets and buckles everywhere, it also has loops all the way across the ridge so I am assuming you could leave the poles at home and set up a ridge line between trees and put the tent up that way.
The tent is well made, good stitching, massive industrial rust proof zippers everywhere reinforced by velcro tabs. It is made of Polyester but just looks, feels & smells like an extremely thick cotton bedsheet.
I would say that this tent would very easily and comfortably fit two people without them being particularly close. It actually would probably fit three people easily.
